Australian mixed martial artist Joshua ‘Kuya’ Culibao (11-2-1), who competes in the Featherweight division will take on Danny Silva (8-1)at UFC Vegas 88 on March 16th.


Culibao who started MMA to lose weight in his adolescence, is still trained out of Igor MMA in Bondi Juntion. He made his name fighting on the Australian MMA regional scene, winning championships in Hex Fight Series, Diamondback FC & SuperFight MMA, before joining the UFC.

He worked as a full-time electrician while juggling his career. He had notable wins against Shayilan Nuerdanbieke and Melsik Baghdasaryan.

He’s recently faced setbacks, including a loss to Lerone Murphy in July of 2023 but looks to rebound with a victory over a tough ‘El Puma’’ in March, who recently gained a UFC contract via a UD victory on Dana White’s Contender Series.

Culibao has recently become a father and looks to get back on a similar track in which we saw him pick up a 3 year unbeaten streak in the UFC.
