Cody Haddon (5-1) has long been regarded as the "future" of Australian MMA. But in an interview with Mitchell Tinley, he stated that his life long career of mixed martial arts was starting to take it's toll. Haddon had to pull out of his November scheduled matchup with Hex Fight Series 135lb champion Sean Gauci (8-1) after a bout with glandular fever. Cody has had to battle with injuries and health issues since commencing his martial arts journey as a 6 year old.
Cody Haddon, the Hex interim 135lb champion revealed that the promotion had offered him the fight for March 2nd in Melbourne to unify the belts. Haddon went on the say that due to only just coming back from the illness, that he would still need time to know if he is healthy enough to take the bout.
