It's official! The UFC returns to Perth, Australia for UFC 305
WA State Premiere Roger Cook has announced that the UFC will return on August 18th at RAC Arena.
The announcement was made on the 28th of March at Scrappy MMA in Willetton, the gym of UFC ranked contender Jack Della. Whom many are expecting to be on the card.
Joining the WA state premiere Roger Cook on the announcement was WA Minister for Tourism, Rita Saffioti, UFC fighters, Alex Volkanovski, Steve Erceg and Jack Della.
This is the second UFC event brought to Perth within 18 months. UFC 284 took place after the WA government won a bid for the multi million dollar event that is set to produce up to $15m for the local economy.
With the UFC 305 card not yet officially announced, it is heavily rumoured to feature a rematch with former UFC middleweight ANZAC favourite, Israel Adesanya and Dricuss du Duplessis, who is no stranger to Australia, having captured his 185lb title in Sydney back in September at UFC 293.
The soon to be sold out card is tipped to roll off the back of a huge Wallabies vs Springboks match up at Optus Stadium on August 17th, of which DuPlessis, of whom is South African would look to defend his crown against the basically hometowned Adesanya.
