Emergency Services Respond to Suspicious Blaze at Wendouree's Infinite MMA

Early Saturday morning, May 25th, emergency services responded to a report of a building fire at Infinite MMA on Howitt Street, Wendouree, in Victoria.

The blaze, reported at 3:18 am, was brought under control by fire crews from FRV and CFA by 3:31 am. Witnesses described hearing a loud explosion before police and firefighters filled the street.

No injuries were reported, but the cause of the fire is considered suspicious. Police officers remain on the scene as fire investigators work to determine the cause.

Infinite MMA has been popularised as of late due to the surging rise of MMA fighters, Harry Webb & Luke Dally, who were over in Sydney for Eternal MMA 84, an event which saw Luke Dally compete and pull off a rare twister victory against Jordan Thomas and Harry Webb, the Hex Fight Series 155lb champion, announce that he had signed a 12-month, up to 5-fight deal with Eternal MMA.

John Campbell, the head coach and owner of Infinite MMA, shared a statement on Instagram, expressing that he believes the the fire was a deliberate attack on the family-run business. He emphasised the school's mission to empower individuals through martial arts and resilience against bullying and violence. Despite the setback, Campbell assured the community of their commitment to remain strong and united.
